George Morris[2] b. 1861/62 in NY - d. bet. 1900/10, burial place ?.  Genevieve Morrison b. April 15 1863 in Steamburg NY - d. Oct. 22 1924 in Geneva NY. Buried in Clifton [NY] Springs Cemetery.  They are the parents of Willow Wave Morris & grandparents of the authors mother, Alice May Bond.

To the right of the patriarch: George Morris [2] b. about 1861/62 - d. between 1900 - 1910, Genevieve Morrison Morris, wife of George [2] b. April 15 1863 - d.  Oct.19 1924.

The children: baby in white dress is daughter of Joe & Maymie Boats. The rest are children of George [2] & Genevieve Morris. Left to right: Harold b. Sept. 16 1891 - d.  July 18 1949, Joe b. about 1892/93 - died very young, Cecil b. 1889 - d. 1976, Floyd b. 1887 - d. 1929.

                                                                   NOTES

George [2], Frank, Ernest & Lottie are children of George [1] & wife Eliza A. b. 1839 - d. Feb. 15 1883. Missing from this photo are George [1] & Eliza’s other children, Anna born about 1860 & William b. Jan. 9 1867 - d. Mach 27 1894. Other children of George [2] & Genevieve missing from photo: Willow Wave born Feb. 14 1896 - died July 26 1981 & George [3] born about 1899/1900 - died about 1965/66.

Based on the birth date of Harold [1891] with Joe younger & Willow’s birth date 1896, i believe the photo date to be 1895. Based on FamilySearch.org [Mormon] web site search i believe George [1] parents are Thomas & Elizabeth Morris of St, Martin, Birmingham, Warwick, England.

[This is no doubt Genevieve Morrison.  She often went by the name “Eva”. Age is about right. b. in 1863]

[There is no more information about George Morris [2] since this census. He must have been alive

until 1899 since his & Eva;s child, George [3] was born in 1900.  See 1910 Bradford PA census]

Frank Morris - son - age 29 born June 1870 in NY - parents born in England [father yes, but 1880 census says mother Eliza born PA]

Grace Morris - wife of Frank - age 29 born Oct. 1870 in PA - parents born in NY.

Frank & Grace married 8 years.

George & Frank listed as machinists.

All living on South Centre Street.

Mrs Eva [Genevieve] Morris - head - widow - age 46 born in NY - not employed.

Harold - son age 17 born in NY - salesman in a bicycle factory.

[Willow] Wave - daughter - age 14 born in PA.

George [3] - son - age 10  born in PA.

Eva listed as mother of 4 children, 3 still living [should be 6 with 5 still living].

Eva’s father born in PA, mother in Wisconsin [other records say PA].

Residence: West Washington St.

Notes: The author has 7 postcards sent to “Miss Wave Morris”. One dated 1909, 6 dated 1910. 1909 thru March 25 1910 addressed 4 Pearl St. Bradford PA or just Bradford General Delivery. Two cards dated April & May 1910 addressed Box 34 or 35 RFD Campbell NY. Some time between April & May 1910 Wave must have met up with future husband Walter Bond. They married Dec. 30 1910.

Genevieve Morris - age 52 - houseworker.

George Morris [3] - son - age 16 - laborer.

Notes: No more information in this census. At this time her daughter Willow Wave was living in Starkey with future husband Ben Lane. See 1915 census in Willow’s link   WILLOW WAVE MORRIS.

Genevieve does not show up in any NY or PA 1920 census. She probably was still living in Starkey or possibly Geneva NY when she died in 1924.

George Morris [1] - Near right, his grave site, The GAR plaque would indicate that he was a Civil War. His unit is unknown.

Far right - Wife Eliza A. born 1839 - died Feb, 5, 1883 in 44th year.
